Sleep isn’t a science, nor is it an art. It is a matter of precision, of getting it just right.
If you receive too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, then you are weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. Lacking sleep can cause you to miss out a perfectly good day of activities.
Then there’s your individual sleeping style and position to consider — because we all know if we don’t sleep the ideal way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.
To be able to wake up completely awake, everything needs to be according to plan very much like baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge role in that. It’s one of the important ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we are reviewing one that is out to establish itself as one of the top mattresses out there — The Nectar Mattress. It’s a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a wide range of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can ask for.
Does the mattress actually walk the talk? Read on and find out our opinion on this powerhouse of a mattress.

Making Sleep Better Was Bedeutet Nectar
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress firm that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
The height of the mattress will depend on which type you’ll choose. There’s The Nectar, which is a 12″ profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13″ profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14″ profile. All mattresses have the signature three-layer all-foam bed which consists of a gel memory foam, dynamic support memory foam, and high-core memory foam; these three layers are sandwiched by a quilted cool cover and a Shift-resistant lower cover. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each facet, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are fairly breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.
The Layer for Comfort
Helping you distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. Thanks to this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right from the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping because it will take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Was Bedeutet Nectar
Once you lie down, give it a few moments and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you will feel a soft embrace over your body. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.
In terms of firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that regard. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not only on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the lighter side, this may feel somewhat more firm for you than others might.
It’s All About Positioning
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to worry about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but otherwise, it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress really counters the negative impact this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is looking like a great choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’re going to need to be very careful with that because it may impact your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to people who enjoy sleeping this way.
Couples will appreciate the bed a lot. Aside from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfy, moving around and changing positions will not be as annoying with your partner thanks to its motion isolation and edge support. Was Bedeutet Nectar

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress to be a small tough, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very profound one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
However, if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavyweight Sleepers
Although still quite supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There will be a little sagging when the mattress starts to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a wonderful pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our review, we know really being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best way to ascertain whether it’s for you. We can only act as a guide because, in the end of the day, it’s all about your preference.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel each evening.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly courting your mattress over a long period of time rather than of just after a few weeks of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, just in the event of anything.
