Like Goldilocks preference in soup, sleep is all about finding out which mattress is just right for you.
If you receive too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you are weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. You might have missed some calls, or perhaps even a commitment with a friend, along with your day’s wasted.
Then there’s your individual sleeping style and arrangement to consider — because all of us know if we don’t sleep the right way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.
Much like baking, you have to get everything to come off with that perfect batch of “sleep.” In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge part in that. It’s one of the important ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we are reviewing one that is out to establish itself as one of the best mattresses on the market — The Nectar Mattress. It’s a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level firmness to cover a broad range of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.

Building Better Sleep Nectar Mattress Unfolding Instructions
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that made the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into every aspect, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a wonderful feel on your body thanks to the fairly breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.
Comfort Layer
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not only comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it emulats like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps manage bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches instead of the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. Because of this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that is about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right from the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping since it is going to take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a good wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Unfolding Instructions
Once you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a tender embrace over your body. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.
Concerning firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that respect. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the other hand, this may feel somewhat more firm to you than others would.
It’s about Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a perfect neutral position. Your lumbar area however may need extra support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but otherwise, it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great choice for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink into your abdomen area with this position, and you’ll need to be very careful with this because it may impact your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to people who like sleeping this way.
Couples will appreciate the bed a whole lot. Apart from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfortable, moving around and changing positions won’t be as annoying with your spouse thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Nectar Mattress Unfolding Instructions

Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will find the mattress quite little tough, which is to be expected. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
But if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The average sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavyweight Sleepers
For heavy sleepers who desire for something more firm, the Nectar Mattress may be the perfect fitThere will be a little sagging when the mattress begins to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a great pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our trial , we know actually being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it a real test is the best method to ascertain if it’s for you. As much as we would want to give you a decision, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel each night.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and offers a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly courting your bed over a long period of time rather than of just after a few months of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, just in the event of anything.
