Sleep isn’t a science, nor is it an art. It’s a matter of precision, of getting it just right.
If you get too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, maybe even a bit lethargic. You might have missed some calls, or maybe even a meet up with a friend, and your day’s wasted.
Preferred sleeping settings also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the ideal way can affect how well our sleep is.

Building Better Sleep Nectar Mattress Try Out
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam mattress.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Cover
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a wonderful feel on your body thanks to the fairly breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.
The Layer for Comfort
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not just comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made of quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were created this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you open it out of the packaging. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it will take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it first needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Try Out
As soon as you lie down, give it a few moments and before you know it, the memory foam will begin kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a soft embrace over your body. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will really enjoy this one.
Concerning firmness, it is around medium firmness — balanced, in that regard. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not only on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others would.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to think about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress really counters the negative impact this sleeping place could have on your body, so this bed is looking like a wonderful choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink into your abdomen area with this position, and you’re going to need to be very careful with that because it may affect your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless partner on the same bed as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other knowing. Nectar Mattress Try Out

Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will find the Nectar to be firm on the body. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
But if you are a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling to the bed. There was no sagging, good body relief and no matter the sleeping position, it was good.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still quite supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a bit of sagging when the mattress starts to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it is a great pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our review, we know actually having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it a real test is the best method to ascertain whether it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel every evening.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. Consider it as getting to know your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.
It’s a great comfort to know that that option is there, only in case of anything.
