Sleep is not a science, nor is it an art. It is a matter of precision, of getting it just perfect.
If you get too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you are weirdly tired, perhaps even a little lethargic. You might have missed some calls, or perhaps even a meet up with a buddy, along with your day’s wasted.
Preferred sleeping positions also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the perfect way can affect how restful our sleep is.

Building Better Sleep Nectar Mattress Stomach Sleeper
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Cover
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are fairly breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a nice feel on your body.
The Layer for Comfort
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to provide you not just comfort, but also a balance that helps you distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were created this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its embracing your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps handle bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches instead of the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. Because of this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.
Support Layer
And finally, the support center. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you open it out of the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it is going to take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Stomach Sleeper
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, lying down after a long day of impatiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too hard, not to soft, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also in your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel somewhat more firm to you than others might.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to worry about posture as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your pelvic region however may need extra support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress really counters the negative impact this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is looking like a wonderful choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’re going to need to be very careful with that since it may impact your body adversely over time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you opt for a mattress that is firmer than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.
Couples will appreciate the bed a lot. Apart from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfy, moving around and changing positions will not be as bothersome with your spouse thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Nectar Mattress Stomach Sleeper

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress quite little firm, which is to be expected. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
But if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling to the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavyweight Sleepers
Although still quite supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress starts to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it’s a great pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our reviewwe know actually having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best method to determine whether it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a decision, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel each night.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Think of it as getting to know your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, rather than popping the question after 3 or 4 weeks.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that option is there, just in case of anything.
