If you receive too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. Preferred sleeping positions also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the ideal way can affect how well our sleep is.

Making Sleep Better Nectar Mattress Crib
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding company that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it is a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.
Comfort Layer
Making it possible to distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that takes into account comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was made so that it emulats like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps manage bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. Thanks to this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.
Support Layer
And finally, the service center. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes some time right from the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping since it will take exactly that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its full height.
Like a good wine, it first needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Crib
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, trying it out after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to soft, it feels perfectly balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not only on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others would.
It’s about Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your lumbar area however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a perfect choice for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’ll have to be very careful with that because it might affect your body adversely with time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to people who like sleeping this way.
Couples will appreciate the bed a lot. Aside from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfortable, moving around and changing positions will not be as annoying with your partner thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Nectar Mattress Crib

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress to be a little firm, which is to be expected. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
However, if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm mattress which still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The average sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling to the bed. There was no sagging, superior body relief and regardless of the sleeping position, it was great.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a bit of sagging when the mattress starts to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a great pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our reviewwe know actually having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best method to determine if it’s for you. As much as we would want to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you want and want to feel each night.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Think of it as getting to know your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, rather than popping the question after 3 or 4 weeks.
It’s a great comfort to know that that option is there, only in the event of anything.
