Sleep isn’t a science, nor is it an art. It’s a matter of precision, of getting it just right.
If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, then you are weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. You might have missed a few calls, or maybe even a commitment with a buddy, and your day’s wasted.
Then there’s your personal sleeping style and arrangement to consider — because all of us know if we don’t sleep the ideal way, which is our own way, then something will fail.
Much like baking, you have to get everything right, to come off with that perfect batch of “sleep.” In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a large part in that. It is one of the key ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we’re reviewing one that is out to prove itself as one of the top mattresses out there — The Nectar Mattress. It is a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a wide range of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.
Does it succeed? Is it all that? We are here to help you find out.

Making Sleep Better If My Nectar Mattress Gets Wet Will It Be Okay
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each facet, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.
The Layer for Comfort
Making it possible to distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made from quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it feels like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs against your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will require some prep time when you open it out of the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping since it will take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its full height.
Like a good wine, it first needs to breathe. If My Nectar Mattress Gets Wet Will It Be Okay
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, lying down after a long day of impatiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to soft, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also in your physicality. If you are a bit on the lighter side, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others would.
It’s All About Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a perfect neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need extra support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great choice for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the adverse effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to need to be very careful with this since it may impact your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other finding out. If My Nectar Mattress Gets Wet Will It Be Okay

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will find the mattress quite small firm, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience could be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
But if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm mattress which still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. There was no sagging, good body relief and regardless of the sleeping position, it was good.
Heavyweight Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There’ll be a little sagging when the mattress starts to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it is a wonderful pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our review, we know really having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it a real test is the best method to determine if it’s for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel every evening.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your bed over a long period of time instead of just after a few weeks of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that that option is there, just in the event of anything.
