Sleep is not a science, nor is it an art. It’s a matter of precision, of getting it just right.
If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. Lacking sleep can cause you to miss out a perfectly good day of activities.
Then there’s your personal sleeping style and arrangement to consider — because we all know if we do not sleep the right way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.
Much like baking, you have to get everything right, to come away with that perfect batch of “sleep.” In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a large role in that. It’s one of the key ingredients in a fantastic night’s sleep.
And today we’re reviewing one that’s out to establish itself as one of the top mattresses on the market — The Nectar Mattress. It is a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level firmness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.

Building Better Sleep Do Nectar Mattresses Attrat Bed Bugs
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that made the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it is a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Cover
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a wonderful feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.
Comfort Layer
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to provide you not only comfort, but also a balance that helps you distribute your weight evenly throughout the whole mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made from quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were created this way so that when you sleep on it, it feels like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs against your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support center. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes some time right from the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it is going to take exactly that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Do Nectar Mattresses Attrat Bed Bugs
Once you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a soft embrace over your body. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will really enjoy this one.
In terms of firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that respect. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not only on your preference, but also in your physicality. If you are a bit on the lighter side, this may feel a bit more firm to you than others might.
It’s All About Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need extra support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress really counters the negative effect this sleeping place could have on your body, so this bed is alreadylooking like a wonderful choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’ll have to be very careful with this since it may impact your body adversely with time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you opt for a mattress that is harder than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.
Having a restless spouse on the same bed as you won’t be as annoying as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other finding out. Do Nectar Mattresses Attrat Bed Bugs

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will find the mattress to be a little firm, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very profound one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
But if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There will be a little sagging when the mattress begins to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it is a wonderful pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we can with our trial , we know actually being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it a real test is the best way to determine if it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel each evening.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Think of it as dating your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, rather than popping the question after 3 or 4 weeks.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, only in the event of anything.
