Like Goldilocks preference in soup, sleep is all about figuring out which mattress is just right for you.
If you receive too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, maybe even a bit lethargic. Lacking sleep can cause you to miss out a perfectly nice day of commitments.
Then there’s your individual sleeping style and arrangement to consider — because all of us know if we don’t sleep the right way, which is our own way, then something will fail.
Much like baking, you need to get everything to come off with that perfect batch of “sleep.” In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge part in that. It is one of the key ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we are reviewing one that’s out to prove itself as one of the best mattresses out there — The Nectar Mattress. It’s a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.
Does it succeed? Is it all that? We’re here to help you find out.

Building Better Sleep Nectar Mattress Units Sold
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
The height of the mattress will depend on which type you’ll choose. There’s The Nectar, which is a 12″ profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13″ profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14″ profile. All mattresses have the signature three-layer all-foam bed which consists of a gel memory foam, dynamic support memory foam, and high-core memory foam; these three layers are sandwiched by a quilted cool cover and a Shift-resistant lower cover. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are pretty breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.
Comfort Layer
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not just comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it feels like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches instead of the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. Because of this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm feel without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right from the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take precisely that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its full height.
Like a good wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Units Sold
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, trying it out after a long day of impatiently waiting, you will feel a soft embrace start to surround you. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will love this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too hard, not to squishy, it feels perfectly balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm to you than others might.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need extra support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great choice for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink into your abdomen area with this position, and you’ll have to be very careful with that since it may impact your body adversely with time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you opt for a mattress that is harder than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.
Couples will appreciate the bed a whole lot. Apart from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfy, moving around and changing positions won’t be as bothersome with your partner due to its movement isolation and edge support. Nectar Mattress Units Sold

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
However, if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Average Sleeper
The average sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was great no matter which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a little sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a wonderful pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our review, we know actually having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best way to determine whether it’s for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of what you want and want to feel every night.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Consider it as getting to know your mattress long term before proposing, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that that option is there, only in the event of anything.
