Like Goldilocks taste in soup, sleep is all about figuring out which mattress is just right for you.
If you get too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, perhaps even a bit lethargic. You might have missed a few calls, or perhaps even a meet up with a friend, and your day’s wasted.

Making Sleep Better Nectar Mattress Going Down
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding company that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
The height of the mattress will depend on which type you’ll choose. There’s The Nectar, which is a 12″ profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13″ profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14″ profile. All mattresses have the signature three-layer all-foam bed which has a gel memory foam, dynamic support memory foam, and high-core memory foam; these three layers are sandwiched by a quilted cool cover and a Shift-resistant lower cover. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a wonderful feel on your body thanks to the fairly breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.
Comfort Layer
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to provide you not just comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it feels like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps handle bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs against your body without sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the service core. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that is about 5.25 inches thick. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right out of the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Going Down
Once you lie down, give it a few moments and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a soft embrace over your body. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will love this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to soft, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not only on your taste, but also in your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm to you than others might.
Positioning is the Key
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great option for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink into your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to have to be very careful with that since it may affect your body adversely with time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Couples will enjoy the bed a lot. Apart from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfy, moving around and changing positions will not be as annoying with your spouse thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Nectar Mattress Going Down

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will find the Nectar to be firm on the body. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
But if you’re a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm mattress which still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was great no matter which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still quite supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it’s a wonderful pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our review, we know really having the ability to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best way to ascertain if it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel every evening.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly courting your bed over a long period of time instead of just after a few weeks of seeing each other.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that that option is there, only in case of anything.
