Building Better Sleep Is the Nectar Mattress Hypoallergenic
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that made the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam mattress.
The height of the mattress will depend on which type you’ll choose. There’s The Nectar, which is a 12″ profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13″ profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14″ profile. All mattresses have the patented three-layer all-foam bed which consists of a gel memory foam, dynamic support memory foam, and high-core memory foam; these three layers are sandwiched by a quilted cool cover and a Shift-resistant lower cover. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.
Comfort Layer
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not only comfort, but also a balance that helps you distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help manage bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances the way the mattress hugs your body without sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support center. It contains a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that is about 5.25 inches thick. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes some time right out of the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take precisely that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its entire height.
Like a good wine, it needs to breathe. Is the Nectar Mattress Hypoallergenic
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, lying down after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.
Concerning firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that respect. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel somewhat more firm to you than others might.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a perfect neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but otherwise, it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress counters the negative effect this sleeping place could have on your body, so this bed is looking like a wonderful choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’ll need to be very careful with this because it may affect your body adversely with time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you opt for a mattress that is harder than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.
Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other finding out. Is the Nectar Mattress Hypoallergenic

Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be tough on the body. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very profound one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
However, if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. There was no sagging, good body relief and no matter the sleeping position, it was good.
Heavy Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this stability is your preference, it’s a great pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our trial we know really having the ability to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it an actual test is the best way to determine whether it is for you. We can only act as a guide since, at the end of the day, it’s all about your own preference.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel every evening.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and provides a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Think of it as getting to know your mattress long term before proposing, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 weeks.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, just in case of anything.
Final Thoughts: Where Dreams Begin Is the Nectar Mattress Hypoallergenic
