Sleep isn’t a science, nor is it an art. It is a matter of precision, of getting it just perfect.
If you receive too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, perhaps even a little lethargic. You might have missed a few calls, or maybe even a meet up with a buddy, along with your day’s wasted.
Then there is your individual sleeping style and arrangement to think about — because we all know if we don’t sleep the ideal way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.
Much like baking, you need to get everything to come off with that perfect batch of “sleep.” In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge part in that. It’s one of the key ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we are reviewing one that’s out to establish itself as one of the best mattresses on the market — The Nectar Mattress. It is a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a wide range of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.

Before we begin, in case you’re in a rush, or just prefer a more visual review, here is a video below by Kelly and Mar from the Nectar Sleep YouTube channel:
Building Better Sleep Is Material in Nectar Mattress Toxic?
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam mattress.
The height of the mattress will depend on which type you’ll choose. There’s The Nectar, which is a 12″ profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13″ profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14″ profile. All mattresses have the patented three-layer all-foam bed which consists of a gel memory foam, dynamic support memory foam, and high-core memory foam; these three layers are sandwiched by a quilted cool cover and a Shift-resistant lower cover. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Cover
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the fairly breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.
The Layer for Comfort
Making it possible to distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that takes into account comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was made so that it emulats like you are being hugged This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps handle bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches instead of the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances the way the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support core. It contains a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that is about 5.25 inches thick. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right from the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and begin setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its full height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Is Material in Nectar Mattress Toxic?
Once you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a tender embrace over your body. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will love this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to squishy, it feels perfectly balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the lighter side, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others might.
It’s about Positioning
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a perfect neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress counters the negative impact this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is alreadylooking like a wonderful pick for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to need to be very careful with that since it may affect your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless partner on the same bed as you won’t be as annoying as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other knowing. Is Material in Nectar Mattress Toxic?

Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience could be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
However, if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm mattress which still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling to the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavyweight Sleepers
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with moderate stability. There’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a great pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our trial , we know really being able to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it an actual test is the best way to ascertain if it’s for you. We can only act as a guide because, in the end of the day, it’s all about your own preference.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel every evening.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and offers a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your mattress over a long period of time rather than of just after a few weeks of seeing each other.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that that option is there, only in the event of anything.
Final Thoughts: Where Dreams Begin Is Material in Nectar Mattress Toxic?
So is this the mattress for you?
