Like Goldilocks preference in soup, sleep is all about finding out which mattress is just right for you.
If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, then you are weirdly tired, maybe even a bit lethargic. Making Sleep Better Nectar How to Unwrap Mattress
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are pretty breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a nice feel on your body.
Comfort Layer
Helping you distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made from quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its embracing your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps manage bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support center. It contains a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm feel without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you open it out of the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it is going to take exactly that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it first needs to breathe. Nectar How to Unwrap Mattress
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, trying it out after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It has a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will really enjoy this one.
In terms of firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that respect. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also in your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm to you than others might.
It’s All About Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to think about posture as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great option for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’ll have to be very careful with that because it may impact your body adversely with time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you choose a mattress that is firmer than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.
Having a restless spouse on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can wiggle about without the other finding out. Nectar How to Unwrap Mattress

Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress to be a little firm, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
But if you’re a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm mattress which still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was great regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Heavyweight Sleepers
For heavy sleepers who want for something more firm, the Nectar Mattress may be the perfect fitThere’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it is a great pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our reviewwe know actually being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best method to ascertain if it is for you. We can only act as a guide since, in the end of the day, it’s all about your preference.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel each night.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your mattress over a long period of time instead of just after a few weeks of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, only in case of anything.
