Like Goldilocks preference in soup, sleep is all about figuring out which mattress is just right for you.
If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you are weirdly tired, maybe even a bit lethargic. You might have missed a few calls, or perhaps even a commitment with a buddy, and your day’s wasted.
Then there is your personal sleeping style and position to think about — because we all know if we don’t sleep the ideal way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.
To be able to wake up completely rested, everything needs to be perfect very much like baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge part in that. It’s one of the important ingredients in a good night’s sleep.
And today we are reviewing one that is out to establish itself as one of the top mattresses on the market — The Nectar Mattress. It is a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level firmness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.
Does it succeed? Is it all that? We are here to help you find out.

Making Sleep Better Nectar Mattress Sleeplikethedead
With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that made the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam mattress.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it is a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Duvet
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are fairly breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.
The Layer for Comfort
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to provide you not only comfort, but also a balance that helps you distribute your weight evenly throughout the whole mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made of quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it emulats like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help manage bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
Transitional Layer
For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances the way the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
Support Layer
And finally, the support center. It consists of a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right from the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it is going to take precisely that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Sleeplikethedead
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, lying down after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a soft embrace start to surround you. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too hard, not to squishy, it feels perfectly balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not only on your taste, but also in your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel somewhat more firm for you than others would.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to think about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the recommended position Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but otherwise, it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress counters the negative effect this sleeping place could have on your body, so this bed is looking like a great pick for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to have to be very careful with this since it may affect your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless spouse on the same bed as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other finding out. Nectar Mattress Sleeplikethedead

Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress to be a small tough, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
However, if you’re a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling into the bed. There was no sagging, superior body relief and no matter the sleeping place, it was good.
Heavyweight Sleepers
Although still quite supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a little sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it is a great pick.
Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress
Although we tried to cover as much as we can with our reviewwe know actually having the ability to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it an actual test is the best method to determine if it is for you. As much as we would want to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel every night.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and offers a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your bed over a long period of time rather than of just after a few months of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, only in case of anything.
